OUR MISSION

As a farm, we are devoted to building the fertility of the land that we grow on. We’re in the constant process of doing this through no-till farming practices: leaving roots and organic matter in the ground in an effort to build a mycorrhizal relationship between the fungi in the soil, the microorganisms, and our plants/produce. We believe in minimal soil compaction and maintaining our soil’s structure, and therefore do not use a tractor in the field, nor any mechanical implements. We continue to use the practices set forth by our ancestors: broadforks, oscillating hoes, collinear hoes, and keeping the soil covered by crops, mulch/compost, or a cover crop, thus creating a strong structured medium to cultivate produce in. We do this to ensure that our community is fed with the most nutrient dense and delicious produce in the area, all while maintaining a healthy ecosystem that  future generations can grow on and with.

Our goal is to be as sustainable as possible while creating a healthy environment for the entire ecosystem to flourish: plants, animals, and people.

As a sister company to Point of the Bluff Vineyards, our mission at Glenn Scott Farm is to provide healthy, high-quality, organically grown produce to the Park Inn, Crooked Lake Ice Cream Company, and the Finger Lakes community at large. We strive to be as transparent as possible, so our customers know exactly what they are getting and where their produce comes from.
